2001: Land leveled; excessive weed pressure; installed irrigation well; due to lack of moisture, field was not planted.
2002: Corn
2003: Cotton
2004: Double crop Wheat followed by Soybeans
2005: Corn
2006: Double crop Wheat followed by Soybeans
2008: Corn
2009: Soybeans
2010: Corn
2011: Soybeans
2012: Corn

2013: Soybeans

COMMENTS

No-till furrow- irrigated and has 38” rows.

2002-2010: No Tillage

2011: limited tillage - middle buster

2012: limited tillage – middle buster, paratilled, bedded and rolled.

Conservation Plan for field is crop residue; filter strips; and irrigation water mgt.

Conservation demonstrated : (1) Filter strip used to keep soil out of drainage ditch

(2)Reduction of maintenance cost of drainage ditch (3) Reduces chemical & sediment runoff (4) Crop residue increases organic matter
