REDUCED TILLAGE
Limited/Reduced tillage is a conservation practice that
reduces soil loss and improves water quality leaving a field. The soil is
disturbed as little as possible, and the crop residue is left on the soil
surface. Use of no-till crop production does not reduce crop profit.
Crop Rotation is a practice in which a farmer rotates crops from field to field each year. This provides better weed control and prevents weed herbicide resistance. Crop rotation increases crop yield and allows production of high residue crops.
